At a recent meeting, Winston-Salem Rotary Club President Chris Chapman presented past President Dr. Frank James with a symbolic check representing gifts to local charities of over $103,000 in 2016.    This check included a special gift to the Forsyth County Public Library in honor of the Winston-Salem Rotary Club’s 100th anniversary. The Winston-Salem Rotary Club provides assistance through its annual Benevolent Fund campaign to approximately 20 local non-profit organizations who provide diverse programs and services to local men, women, and children of all ages and with a variety of needs. The Club gives priority to applicants whose organizations strive to:  reduce poverty, improve quality of life, enhance education, and improve health.    Benevolent Fund applications are due January 31 of each year and are available on the Club’s website at Rotaryclubofwinstonsalem.com.
