The Membership Goal of the Rotary Club of Winston-Salem
is to Reflect The Diversity of Leadership in Our Community
Our Club welcomes individuals who are current or past leaders in their profession as well as those who demonstrate involvement in the community charitable or betterment activities.
Service to the Community
The Club expects members to practice the Rotary Motto – Service Above Self – through their service to our community. Rather than conduct Rotary Club Community Projects, our Club encourages members to participate in community service and community leadership activities.
Members must pay quarterly dues that are used to cover meals, Club expenses and Club activities. Additionally, members are expected to support our Benevolent Fund which raises more than $30,000 each year to support local community causes.
Rotary International’s Paul Harris Fund
Members are encouraged to participate with an annual donation to Rotary International’s Paul Harris Fund. This fund supports Rotary’s humanitarian efforts in communities at home and abroad through education and job training, providing clean water, combating hunger, improving health and sanitation and eradicating polio. More than 1.2 million Rotary members in 34,000 Rotary Clubs world-wide support these efforts.
